MOBILE SAFARIS
Our Game drives are designed to take you close to the wildlife rich spots of the protected areas. This gives you an opportunity to view wild animals in their natural habitat as they go about their daily activities.
Game drives are done during the day or night time, and the best times are early in the morning and late afternoons, when it is much cooler. Night game drives are however not allowed in the game reserve and national parks of Botswana but only offered in concession areas.
Our safari guides are highly knowledgeable and familiar with the protected areas of Botswana and are able to give lots of information about the animals and their habitats.
BOAT CRUISE
Wildlife viewing by motor-powered boat is one of the most unique and exhilarating ways to explore the water-dependent ecosystems within Botswana's stunning landscapes. This method of safari is particularly designed to showcase certain flora and fauna that thrive exclusively in aquatic environments, offering a rare glimpse into the lives of species that are one hundred percent water-loving. As you glide through the tranquil waterways, you'll have the opportunity to observe endangered species like the elusive Sitatunga, which are often impossible to spot by traditional means such as vehicles or flights. These shy and secretive antelopes are perfectly adapted to their swampy surroundings, and spotting one is a true highlight for any wildlife enthusiast. The motorboat also serves a practical purpose, as it is often the preferred method of transferring guests deep into the delta, where the land-based options become inaccessible. This intimate and close-to-nature experience allows for a deeper connection with the environment, providing a serene yet thrilling adventure that showcases the unparalleled beauty and biodiversity of Botswana’s wetlands.
MOKORO EXCURSIONS
The Mokoro is a traditional canoe that has long been essential for navigating the shallow waters of the Okavango Delta, offering a serene and intimate way to experience this stunning landscape. Skillfully guided by a poler who stands at the back, the Mokoro glides silently through the water, immersing you in the Delta’s tranquil stillness. Traditionally made from the trunks of large trees like ebony and sausage trees, modern Mokoros are now crafted from fiberglass to protect these natural resources. Sitting low in the canoe, just above the waterline, you are treated to a unique view of the Delta’s intricate channels and lush vegetation. The gentle, meditative journey allows you to fully absorb the pristine beauty of one of Africa’s most untouched wilderness areas, where every ripple and rustle enhances the magic of the experience.
SCENIC FLIGHTS
Sometimes referred to as a game flight, this experience offers a bird’s-eye view of the Okavango Delta, providing a perspective vastly different from a traditional game drive. Lasting about 45 minutes to an hour, these scenic flights take you high above the landscape, allowing you to explore the Delta in its full grandeur. From this vantage point, you can truly appreciate the scale and beauty of this natural wonder, flying over Chief's Island and other prominent areas that are inaccessible by vehicle.
As the aircraft soars above the winding waterways, you’ll witness the intricate patterns and formations that define the Delta, including the famous Pan Handle where the Okavango River spreads into lush wetlands. The flight not only offers breathtaking views but also a deeper understanding of the delta’s formation and its ecological significance. With chances to spot wildlife from the air, such as elephants, hippos, and antelope, this aerial adventure reveals the Okavango Delta’s majesty in a way that’s impossible to grasp from the ground.
